  1. GFtoDVI converts a generic font (GF) file created by Metafont
  2. to a DVI file that can then be typeset and printed by OzTeX.

  4. Given a file called cmr10.300gf, GFtoDVI will create cmr10.dvi.
  5.  
  6. The characters in the GF file will appear one per DVI page,
  7. with labels, titles, and annotations as specified in Appendix H
  8. of Donald Knuth's "The METAFONTbook".  Knuth wrote GFtoDVI as a
  9. proofing aid to help him design the Computer Modern fonts.
